AMA Charter 864

Miller Meadow, one of the Cook County Forest Preserves. Miller Meadow is on First Avenue between Roosevelt Road (12th St.) and Cermak Rd. (22nd.), directly across from Loyola Hospital.  AMA Safety Code applies and AMA or SFA membership is required. If not, you must have a Cook County Permit to fly. Flying is permitted from sunrise to sunset. Checkerboard R/C meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 at the Broadview Public Library (Roosevelt and 16th, in Broadview).

NW Chicago Area, Entrance is off of Golf Rd. just East of Rts. 53 & 90. flying field in the Busse Woods ForestPreserve. All types of models are welcome and there is even two U-control circles adjacent. AMA current membership is required, Club has instructor and trainer program. Flying is from sunrise to sunset .The club has l33 friendly members and new members are welcome. Please call Sid 287 at 708-437- 1209 for further information. The runway is a two hundred by two hundred black top area. 

Northwest corner of Hicks and Dundee roads, Palatine, IL West of IL RT. 53   ALL GRASS FIELD WITH A BOUNDRY TO THE EAST DUE TO CONDOS. FIELD HAS SLIGHT HILL ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF FIELD GIANT SCALE/SIZE IS DISCOURAGED UNLESS IT HAS A SLOW LANDING SPEED. THIS FIELD HAS MANY TYPES OF FLIERS. AMA IS REQUIERD AND MAY BE CHECKED BY FOREST PRESEVRE POLICE. FIELD IS MAINLY USED BY LOCAL CLUB "BLUE MAX" ALTHOUGH OPEN TO PUBLIC. JUST WEST OF FAMOUS "VENTURE HOBBIES" WHEELING IL. Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Mon.-Fri. 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sat. & Sun.

Palos Park , Illinois, 107th St. & Rt. 45, just south of I-55, southwest suburb of Chicago  EW paved runway 40x125, huge grass field, 20x30 roofed shelter, must be AMA member, flying all year, all are welcome, this is the largest open field near Chicago, must see. St. Charles, Illinois. Campton Hills Park South of Campton Hills Road and West of Peck Road.  Our field consists of a 500'X50 Foot paved runway with an intersecting 20'X200' runway. We meet the Second Thursday of each month at 7:30PM in the Baker Community Center in St. Charles. All are welcome.
