Contest events will be held on Saturday. The drag
races will be held Sunday morning
Novice Class
The novice event consist of two maneuvers to perform.
30 Second Hover
Pad Hopping, clockwise and counter
clockwise
The two times of the pad hopping are subtracted to give the score
The 30 second hover and Pad hopping are added together
The lowest score is the winner
Intermediate Class
This class is based on quickness unlike the novice
class. The first event is the bottle tip over. We will place four bottles about ten feet
from each other. You will start on a pad. When you lift off, we will start the timer. You
have to knock over each bottle in any order then return back to your. This will be done
clockwise and counter clockwise. The second maneuver is the touch and go. We will place a
pole about 75 feet away from a pad. You start on this pad and fly past the pole then land
back on the pad. You must have your skids on the pad before you lift off to go around the
pole again. You finish when you land back on the pad on the fourth lap. The person with
the shortest time wins.
Advanced Class
Take off, knock down bottles then fly
two figure eights and then land, this is done twice.
The object is to do it in the same amount of
time.
Expert
Knock down one bottle, then fly around
the pole, Knock down the second bottle. After this do two loops, then 540
stall turn, two rolls and land in the circle. This is done twice.
The object is to do it in the same amount of
time
Autorotation
Two practice autos, then the actual autorotation, Measurement will be the main
shaft of the helicopter.
Scale Class
Static judging followed by a two minute flight. The
flight should consist of full scale maneuvers. In other words we don't want to see your
huey do a 540 stall turn!
